Hi, I am Vanessa
I always had an interest in nutrition/wellness and a passion for helping and guiding others about living a healthy lifestyle.
Based on my personal experience, when you get acquainted with your own personal healthy living routine, it is easy to overcome cravings, reduce stress and lose weight. I have managed to lose 30 pounds naturally by focusing on what works best for me. And my goal is to inspire you in doing the same. It's not just about weight loss, but also about improving your relationship with food and feeling great mentally, physically and emotionally.
Namaste Bliss is my online blog where you can find easy and healthy recipes along with other healthy living tips. Here, I share my everyday journey of eating, creating and selecting quality foods & incorporating other essential lifestyle elements for overall well-being.
Born in India raised in California, I had a great exposure to many herbs and spices as well as best of taste of the east and west. I developed a passion for cooking in my early teens and started experimenting with various flavor profiles. In my mid-30's I realized that even though I was not super overweight, I could still improve the way I ate. This is when I became more interested in nutrition and wellness and decided to become certified in this field. Although, I knew the basics, after joining the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, I gained in-depth knowledge about many different dietary theories and the food mood connection. After graduating from IIN, I started to create healthier and more nutrient-dense versions of all the foods I enjoy like pizza, desserts and even my famous chicken tikka masala. In addition to improving my food choices, I also made small lifestyle changes which enhanced my way of living. Based on what I learned and what I practice on a daily basis, I want to inspire as many people as I can via Namaste Bliss.
