Three Delicious Marinades

I am so excited to share three of my most favorite marinades with you! I have been making these marinades for a few years now, and have received so many compliments ever since. I often get asked for the recipe and finally here I am sharing the recipes for all THREE! These marinades are really quick to make and full of aromas and flavors. You can use them to marinade meats, seafood and veggies. So let's get the scoop on how to make these. Check out the recipe video and printable version below.



Chimichurri Marinade(GREEN )

This marination can also be used as a dipping sauce and tastes great on steaks, chicken, fish, and shrimp.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 a bunch Fresh parsley (Finely chopped)

  • 1/2 a bunch Fresh cilantro (Finely chopped)

  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning

  • 1 tbsp garlic powder

  • 1 tbsp crushed red pepper

  • Salt to taste

  • A little more than 1/2 a cup of olive oil

  • 1 tbsp vinegar

Mix all the ingredients well and let it sit for 15-20 minutes before you marinate your choice of protein or veggies.



Tandoori Marinade (RED)

This is the standard marination for tandoori chicken tikka and can also be used to marinade fish, shrimp and veggies. You can find the tandoori chicken masala at any Indian grocery store or simply order online.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup yogurt

  • 2 tbsp tandoori chicken masala

  • 1 tbsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper

  • Salt to taste

  • 1/2 tsp ginger powder

  • 2 tbsp vinegar

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Mix all the ingredients well and it is ready!



Creamy Marinade (White)

This marination is so aromatic! It is smooth and creamy with amazing flavors. This one works best on chicken and paneer. It can also be used as a gravy base when cooked for 10-12 minutes on medium flame stirring occasionally.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup yogurt

  • 2 tbsp fenugreek leaves

  • 1 tbsp garam masala

  • 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper

  • salt to taste

  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Mix all the ingredients well and it is ready!


So there you have it, my three favorite marinades which are quick and easy to make. The chimichurri marinade can be stores for up to a week in the fridge. Tandoori and creamy marinade can be stored for a couple days max. ENJOY!!
