Homemade Healthy Twix Bars (Only 6 Ingredients!)

Ingredients:


Base (Shortbread Layer):

  • 1 cup almond flour

  • 2 tbsp maple syrup

  • 2 tbsp melted coconut oil

Caramel Layer:

  • ½ cup peanut butter (natural, creamy)

  • ¼ cup maple syrup

  • 2 tbsp coconut oil

Chocolate Layer:

  • ½ cup dark chocolate chips or chopped dark chocolate

  • Pinch of sea salt (for topping)


Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Base (Shortbread Layer):

    • In a bowl, mix almond flour, maple syrup, and melted coconut oil until a dough forms.

    • Press evenly into a parchment-lined loaf pan or small baking dish.

    • Freeze for 10–15 minutes until firm.

  2. Make the Caramel Layer:

    • In a small saucepan over low heat, melt peanut butter, maple syrup, and coconut oil together, stirring until smooth and well combined.

    • Pour over the chilled shortbread base and spread evenly.

    • Return to the freezer for another 15–20 minutes, or until set.

  3. Top with Chocolate:

    • Melt dark chocolate (using a microwave or double boiler).

    • Pour over the firm caramel layer and spread evenly.

    • Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top.

    • Chill again for 10–15 minutes until the chocolate hardens.

  4. Slice & Serve:

    • Once fully set, remove from the pan and slice into bars or squares.

    • Store in the fridge for up to a week or freeze for longer storage.
