This is a sweet pudding which you will need the following ingredients to make:
1/2 cup rice
2 cups whole milk or coconut/almond milk
2 tbsp sugar or coconut sugar/maple syrup
handful slivered almonds
1/2 tsp cardamom seeds
1 pinch of saffron threads
There are TWO methods to cook this pudding as follows:
SLOW COOKER
Wash rice & place in a slow cooker along with all ingredients except for almonds and saffron.
Add in 4 cups of milk for slow cooker.
Let cook for 4-5 hours on high heat.
Add slivered almonds and cook for another 10 mins.
Serve in a bowl and garnish with saffron threads.
Mix well and enjoy.
PRESSURE COOKER
Wash rice & place in a slow cooker along with all ingredients except for almonds and saffron.
Pressure cook for 7-10 minutes until rice are well done. Let all the pressure out before opening the pressure cooker.
Add slivered almonds, mix well and let it cook on low heat for about 5 minutes.
Serve in a bowl and garnish with saffron threads.
Mix well and enjoy!
