
Rice Pudding (KHEER)

This is a sweet pudding which you will need the following ingredients to make:
- 1/2 cup rice 
- 2 cups whole milk or coconut/almond milk 
- 2 tbsp sugar or coconut sugar/maple syrup 
- handful slivered almonds 
- 1/2 tsp cardamom seeds 
- 1 pinch of saffron threads 
There are TWO methods to cook this pudding as follows:
SLOW COOKER
- Wash rice & place in a slow cooker along with all ingredients except for almonds and saffron. 
- Add in 4 cups of milk for slow cooker. 
- Let cook for 4-5 hours on high heat. 
- Add slivered almonds and cook for another 10 mins. 
- Serve in a bowl and garnish with saffron threads. 
- Mix well and enjoy. 
PRESSURE COOKER
- Wash rice & place in a slow cooker along with all ingredients except for almonds and saffron. 
- Pressure cook for 7-10 minutes until rice are well done. Let all the pressure out before opening the pressure cooker. 
- Add slivered almonds, mix well and let it cook on low heat for about 5 minutes. 
- Serve in a bowl and garnish with saffron threads. 
- Mix well and enjoy!
